Lead with Love and Gratitude
Jul 23, 2024Hey Lifeswerve Community!
It's mid-year, the perfect time to hit the refresh button on our mind, body, and purpose goals. This week, let’s talk about something truly transformative: choosing to forgive and lead with love instead of anger, wanting to be right and controlling outcomes (come on, it can’t be just me!). Imagine the magic we can create when we let go of wanting to be right and embrace living with love instead. I am ready to swerve into a life of love and forgiveness – are you? We got this!
First things first, let's talk about ego – that nasty little voice that always wants to win the argument, define “what’s right and what’s wrong” - you know the one. Here’s a fun challenge: next time you feel your ego bubbling up, take a deep breath and think, "What would LOVE do, how would FORGIVENESS feel?" Maybe Love would give a hug instead of an annoyed look or laugh off a mistake instead of sending a sassy text. Forgiveness is like decluttering your heart – it frees up space for more joy and connection. So, when your friend forgets your birthday or your child doesn’t follow your wishes, choose to forgive and move forward with love.
Now, let’s put this into action with some simple steps. Start each day with a love and forgiveness mantra – something like, "I choose love and let go of what doesn’t serve me." Practice random acts of kindness; leave a sweet note for your spouse, surprise a friend with a random text, or write with sidewalk chalk in your neighbourhood (see Reel😊). And remember, loving yourself is just as important – treat yourself to a bath night, a good book, or a day to just be.
Every night write down one thing that lit up your day. By leading with love and forgiveness, we not only free up our own lives but also light up the world around us.
So, let’s swerve into this new mindset and ignite what’s possible!
